BEHAVIORAL HEALTH COUNSEOR

Master’s degree in the field of counseling, social work, psychology or a related human services field.  Florida license eligible registered intern, certified mental health professional, and/or certified addictions professional preferred.  Provides screenings, assessments, diagnosing, group and individual counseling, treatment planning, implementation of treatment plan, educational services, crisis intervention, psychopharmacology, collaboration with other agencies/service providers and documentation of all services.  Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively in oral and written forms.  Full-time position.

 

BEHAVIORAL HEALTH TEAM LEADER

Master’s degree in the field of counseling, social work, psychology or a related human services field.  Florida license in mental health field under Florida Statutes Chapters 458, 459, 490 or 491.  Must be a 07 Provider or in the process of receiving.  CAP certified or in process of receiving.  Three years of experience providing services to persons with mental illness, substance abuse and/or co-occurring disorders.   Previous supervisory, Electronic Health Record and data analytics experience required. Full-time position. 

 

CASE MANAGER – MHC

Bachelor’s degree from an accredited four year college or university with emphasis in the areas of psychology, social work, health education or related human services field.  Minimum of one year of full time or equivalent experience working with adults who have serious mental illness.  Certification or certification eligible by Medicaid as a Case Manager.  Experience in providing case management and advocacy services to clients in an outpatient mental health setting.  Responsible for ensuring continuity of care through advocating, planning, linking, coordinating, and monitoring of services and resources to help improve the quality of life for clients served. Full-time position.

 

PSYCHOSOCIAL REHABILITATION TEAM LEADER

Master’s degree in the field of counseling, social work, psychology or a related human services field.  Three years experience in providing services to persons with mental illness and/or substance abuse disorders.  Florida License in mental health field required under Florida Statutes Chapters 458, 459, 490 or 491 and a 07 Provider or in process of receiving – and/or – Certified Additions Professional.  Manages the daily operations of the PSR program by providing supervision to staff in the provision of services, including educational activities, rehabilitation, and care services designed to develop, maintain, or restore the skills necessary to allow the client to function successfully in the community.  Full-time position.

Starting Point Behavioral Healthcare uses volunteers to enhance staffing for clinical, administrative and support services where economically and clinically appropriate. Starting Point also encourages client volunteerism within the agency and/or the community as part of the treatment process, when appropriate. Starting Point has been serving the people of Nassau County and the surrounding region since 1992. Our goal is to provide a coordinated approach to care by working together with other agencies and health providers in the community. We are a private, non-profit agency that provides psychiatric treatment, mental health counseling and substance abuse treatment.
