BEHAVIORAL HEALTH COUNSELOR

Masterís degree in the field of counseling, social work, psychology or a related human services field.  Florida license eligible registered intern, certified mental health professional, and/or certified addictions professional preferred.  Provides screenings, assessments, diagnosing, group and individual counseling, treatment planning, implementation of treatment plan, educational services, crisis intervention, psychopharmacology, collaboration with other agencies/service providers and documentation of all services.  Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively in oral and written forms.  Full-time position.

 

 

HUMAN RESOURCES GENERALIST

Bachelorís degree in business, human resources management or equivalent combination of education and experience.  Three to five years experience in human resources management administering employee benefit plans, 401(k) retirement plans, COBRA, FMLA, and knowledge of related state and federal regulations required.  Plans, analyzes, develops, coordinates and monitors the agencyís human resources activities.  Provides administrative support for the CEO and agency.  Full-time position.

 

 

NURSING ASSISTANT

High school diploma or general education degree with one to three months related experience and training.  Relieves doctors and other medical personnel of administrative and clerical work within the medication management department.  Prepares schedules and rooms, orders supplies, medication inventory, phone triage, monitors PAP, and completes patient scheduling as required.  Full-time position.

 

 

REGISTRATION CLERK

Associates degree or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school; or six months to one year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.  Compiles and processes all new client data for pre-registration and registration, maintains referrals and feedback information, assists office coordinator and medical records as required.   Full-time position.

Starting Point Behavioral Healthcare uses volunteers to enhance staffing for clinical, administrative and support services where economically and clinically appropriate. Starting Point also encourages client volunteerism within the agency and/or the community as part of the treatment process, when appropriate. Filling out our volunteer application is the first step in turning your talents and skills into positive action for your community. Starting Point has been serving the people of Nassau County and the surrounding region since 1992. Our goal is to provide a coordinated approach to care by working together with other agencies and health providers in the community. We are a private, non-profit agency that provides psychiatric treatment, mental health counseling and substance abuse treatment.
