Adult Mental Health Counseling Program
Our mental health programs are designed to meet the needs of those who are experiencing mental, emotional, or behavioral issues. Services are provided by either Licensed Mental Health Counselors, Licensed Clinical Social Workers, Registered Counselor Interns or Certified Mental Health Professionals.
Children's Mental Health Counseling Program
In pursuit of our goal to develop each child’s full potential, our team of psychiatrists, nurses, counselors and case managers work with parents to help improve each child’s family, social, educational, and psychological functioning.
Case Management Services
Services are designed to assist clients (adults and children) in linking and accessing needed medical, social, educational, and other services beyond the mental health services available through Sutton Place Behavioral Health.
Emergency Services
The purpose of our Emergency Services program is to provide crisis evaluation and referral to anyone in a psychiatric/substance abuse emergency 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
Psychiatric Services & Medication Management
Services are designed for outpatient psychiatric treatment and patient medication education. This includes psychiatric evaluation, diagnosis and medication.
Socialization Programs
Psychosocial Rehabilitation and Drop in Center programs are designed to help persons with severe and persistent mental illnesses improve their quality of life in the areas of self-care, interpersonal relationships, health, leisure and vocational skills.
Offender Education and Support Program
We offer a wide variety of offense specific cognitive behavioral services in Nassau County. The services are delivered in a one-day seminar format. Our seminar based-educational services to offenders include: managing emotions and impulse control, misdemeanor charges, felony, substance abuse, co-occurring disorders, shoplifting, bad checks, and behavior modification.
Art Therapy
Our art therapy program uses the creative process of art making to improve and enhance the physical, mental and emotional well-being of individuals of all ages. It is based on the belief that the creative process involved in artistic self-expression helps people to resolve conflicts and problems, develop interpersonal skills, manage behavior, reduce stress, increase self-esteem and self-awareness, and achieve insight. Art therapy is used all ages, groups, and families to assess and treat anxiety, depression, and other mental and emotional problems and disorders; substance abuse and other addictions; family and relationship issues; abuse and domestic violence; trauma and loss.
