Starting Point is funded by the Nassau County Board of Commissioners, the City of Fernandina Beach, the State of Florida Department of Children and Families/Lutheran Services Florida, and donations from companies and individuals in the community. We accept private insurance, Medicare and Medicaid. A sliding fee scale is available for those without financial resources to pay for care. Scholarships are also available through the donations of generous Starting Point employees and community donors.
Our commitment to improving mental health drives us to work closely with other community providers and agencies to coordinate care and offer the best services wherever they are needed. Starting Point partners include Baptist Medical Center Nassau, Department of Health, Barnabas, Micah's Place, Family Support Services, Judicial System, Department of Juvenile Justice, Department of Children and Families, community coalitions and schools.
Starting Point accepts donations to continue and expand our services to the people of Northeast Florida and Southeast Georgia. Donations are used for:
- Scholarship Fund for Uninsured Clients
- Renovations for Drop-In Center
- Support Mental Health First Aid Training
- Support Mental Health Community Awareness Programs
- Support Substance Abuse Community Awareness Programs
- General Support
We invite you to make a donation to support the work of Starting Point Behavioral Healthcare.
