Faith and Mental Health: A Community Conversation

Starting Point’s Katrina Robinson-Wheeler, a Licensed Mental Health Counselor, will be one of the featured speakers at a workshop to discuss Spirituality and Addiction – Do I Need Help or Forgiveness? The event takes place on Thursday, August 25, from 5:30 to 7 p.m. at the Red Bean Center’s Nassau Room, located at FSCJ- Nassau Center, 76346 William Burgess Blvd. in Yulee, Florida. The event is sponsored by Baptist Health.

Nan Hucker, Licensed Mental Health Counselor at Baptist Health’s Behavioral Care Management and Partial Hospitalization Program will be the Keynote Speaker.

Among the topics to be discussed:

  • Introduction of Mental Health First Aid
  • The role of spirituality in recovery
  • Research regarding the impact of spirituality on prevention and treatment of addiction
  • The importance of self-forgiveness
