Author of the Autobiographical Book “The Other Side of Suicide”
Yulee, FL — September 23, 2019 — Starting Point Behavioral Healthcare wraps up its series of Community Conversations on the topic of Suicide Prevention with author and speaker Dr. John Elliott. Dr. Elliott is the author of“The Other Side of Suicide,” which describes his own suicide attempt and recovery. The event will be held Tuesday, November 5, from 5:30 to 7 p.m. at the Council on Aging Fernandina Beach Life Center, 1901 Island Walk Way.
Community Conversations: The Other Side of Suicide is free and open to the public. Following the presentation by Dr. Elliott, there will be time for questions and discussion. Light refreshments will be served; registration is requested. The event is hosted by the Nassau County Council on Aging.
About Dr. John Elliott
Dr. Elliott worked for the U.S. State Department from 1966 to 2008, conducting international operations, and concurrently for Mossad in Israel from 1985 to 2008. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Business, an MBA and a Juris Doctorate degree. He is a public and motivational speaker and conducts safety and crime-avoidance seminars nationwide. He is the author of non-fiction, novels, and books for children. He is fluent in English, Gaelic, Hebrew and Hungarian, and can speak conversationally in Italian and French.
