Starting Point’s New Mobile Clinic Will Help People Feel Better and Stay Safe

YULEE, FL — Starting Point Behavioral Healthcare announced the July 1, 2025, launch of its Medicated Assisted Recovery (MAR) Mobile Clinic to increase access to buprenorphine and recovery support services throughout Nassau County. A major goal of the Mobile Clinic is to meet the needs of individuals with limited transportation who use opioids and other substances and are at risk of overdose.
“Starting Point is leveraging all of its evidence-based, person-centered practices around addiction services to directly meet people where they are in the county,” says Dr. Laureen Pagel, CEO of the agency. “The mobile clinic promises to be an important tool in our ongoing efforts to help people find wellness and meaning in their lives.”
Benefits of the MAR Mobile Clinic include:
Individuals with opioid use disorder not currently connected to care who are homeless or reside in rural areas will receive assistance, increasing the number of Nassau residents entering recovery.
Individual and family residents will see improved health outcomes.
Case management and peer support services will be at each location, with psychiatric, counseling and prescriber telehealth also available.
The Mobile Clinic will be operational weekdays from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., beginning July 1.
The locations of the Mobile Clinic and days:
Monday and Friday: Barnabas Health Clinic, 1303 Jasmine Street, Fernandina Beach, FL 32034
Wednesday: Callahan Methodist Church, 449648 US-301, Callahan, FL 32011
Tuesday and Thursday: Hilliard Pharmacy, 551770 US-1, Hilliard, FL 32046.
When necessary, support will be provided to get to the pharmacy and fill prescriptions.
