Starting Point Behavioral Healthcare Welcomes New Chief Operating Officer

Candc

Starting Point Behavioral Healthcare today announced that Candece Tierney will be joining the nonprofit organization full time as the Chief Operating Officer. More than ten years ago, Candece worked for the organization when it was known as Sutton Place Behavioral Health. After leaving to launch her own private practice, she will return with expertise to direct all operational aspects of the growing nonprofit including overseeing all day-to-day activities.

Candece brings a range of experience to the position which will help to ensure the organization is operating efficiently and effectively. Her knowledge about the history of the organization combined with the operational experience of running a private practice will be an asset to Starting Point.

“I am excited to join the team at Starting Point because I believe in their mission to help support positive mental health for the residents of Nassau County,” says Candece Tierney.

“We are so excited to have Candece return to Starting Point,” says Laureen Pagel, CEO at Starting Point Behavioral Healthcare. “We were sad to see her go over ten years ago, but knew she needed to follow her dream of opening a private practice. She is now back, with expert level clinical and operations experience, to lead our growing organization successfully into the future. We truly couldn’t be more thrilled.”
