Being Well, Starting Now To Explore The Recovery Process

Sept. 29 Session Wraps Up National Recovery Awareness Month
Individuals recovering from a mental illness or addiction are celebrating their success and hard work during September, which is National Recovery Awareness Month. For many, it has been a long process involving deep emotional difficulties. But with the help of medical and Behavioral Health professionals, millions of Americans have recovered.
On September 29, the Being Well Starting Now online discussion group will explore the issues surrounding recovery from both mental illness and substance use disorders.
The session begins at noon on Zoom and is free for anyone to attend. Everyone will be encouraged to participate in the conversation, with the help of a moderator who is also a mental health counselor. Participants will be encouraged to maintain confidentiality to allow everyone to take part fully.
Being Well Starting Now is a safe space for people to talk about what is on their minds, how they are feeling, and how they are coping – but in a virtual environment that keeps everyone safe during the pandemic.
